CiteScore index:
Elsevier has unveiled a new product called Journal Metrics. What stands out in this product is a new factor called CiteScore, which is a competitor of IF in ISI. This index complements other Scopus indices including SNIP and SJR.
A special item that is not included in the site score calculation is articles in the press. Since Scopus does not include all in-press articles from different publishers, therefore, to avoid problems in the calculation of this citation index, articles that have not yet been included in an issue of the journal are not included in the site score calculation.
Cite Score calculation method:
CiteScore is obtained by dividing the citations to articles in the last three years by the number of articles in the last three years.
